SO UH. REMEMBER HOW LIKE 3 WEEKS AGO I POSTED THAT I DIDNT GET INTO THAT LITERARY JOURNAL

TURNS OUT I WAS WRONG. I JUST DIDN'T GET THE ACCEPTANCE EMAIL.

Okay. Now that I've calmed a little.

I learned this because, well, if you get accepted, you're invited to a publication party and get a free copy of the journal. Two days ago, I got an email with the subject "RSVP and Book Order." Of course, not having gotten any emails saying "hey, you've been accepted", I got confused. I filled out the google form to be on the safe side and forgot until a few minutes ago.

I did some digging on the site of the college I'm going to, and found the event for the release party. It had links to the front and back covers, and they put the names of every artist that has work in the journal on the back. So, of course, I checked the back.

IT HAD MY NAME!!! IM IN!!! I GOT POKEMON FANFICTION PUBLISHED IN A LITERARY JOURNAL!!!

I'm reeling. I'm actually reeling. In a good way. I didn't expect this at all. I did get in, the acceptance email just didn't reach me, or they didn't send one.

So, I didn't get any emails during the timeframe where i was told i'd get one if i was accepted, so I don't think I got in. That's okay though - What matters is that it was considered, and that's still big in my book. I'm gonna keep going at it in hopes of making something even better! I'll post the comic here soon.

genuinely. i have actual news and this isnt a joke post.

you might see that my banner is now a different illustration instead of that edit of the dude fistbumping the cricket mobile mascot. there's a reason for that. and i promise you, i really, really promise you, i'm not making this up.

so, this semester, i had a comics class. one of the assignments, understandably, was to make a comic. after i submitted mine, i got a feedback message from my teacher saying i should submit this comic to a literary journal.

so i did. this teacher is part of the committee for the journal, and she suggested i submit it.

i'm waiting until i get confirmation on if i'm gonna be published or not until i actually post the comic to be on the safe side, but think about it:

im not even out of highschool and i'm already being considered for a LITERARY JOURNAL???????

who would win in a fight me or 3,172 tarantulas. this is an urgent question

Just to say, because of software limitations (I use Musescore for HGSS stuff and then transfer original songs as a midi to Cakewalk for final runs) all of my renditions of existing songs will be done in the HGSS soundfont.

My next project is coming soon!

For anyone who sees this, I am indeed still alive and I intend to keep this page active. I have art block at the moment and am struggling to get the motivation to draw. I have the ideas, but I just do not execute them.

As for my music, I hope to keep experimenting with my current process, and hopefully make something that can be considered remotely decent.

I do writing as well, but I have been, as I usually do, using the ability to create unnecessarily detailed and vivid story snippets.
